A Basic Leadership School (BLS) is running alongside a Discipleship Training School (DTS) to provide ongoing staff training for any staff interested in developing and improving their leadership skills.

The BLS is a hands-on leadership training school which includes staffing two full DTS or undertaking similar leadership responsibilities. Students will learn through lectures, relevant assignments, and peer/mentor evaluation, but the main emphasis of the training is in actually practicing leadership and not just learning theory. Students’ spiritual, social and personal leadership development is fostered within a practical learning environment. Each student is encouraged to take responsibility for their own development, in response to God’s leading.

BLS consists of 2 phases, each incorporating:

-        staff training

-        staffing DTS (or other hands on leadership) and leading outreach

-        post-DTS/phase debrief
