Samuel Atuary

My life was really upside down when I first did my dts. I have no idea what a dts or Disciple Training School will be like to me. I've been around alot with missionarys like Tony D'allesandro from US, Ben Story from England and Rogger Sutter from Swizerland. I've seen their lifes and leadership. And so the last week came for the dts to start. I didn't have any money for my lecture fees. my family owned a farm, so how do you think I get my lecture fees?? I gave a whole COW to the school. and that covers my lecture fees. What a great idea!! anyways, God really spoke to me during our first 6 weeks of lecture. Everything to me was like, !!BANG!!
"is that really who God is?" I mean I've done alot of bad things in my life and why does He still chose to say He loves me?. That question was in my mind till the end of our 3 months lecture I found out why He loves me and my Identity in Him. I realise it was the right moment of my life that I was blind and stumble but God brought this Leaders from no where and bring them to an Island  just to fullfill the great commission in Mattew 28:16-20. YWAM Vanuatu has been a huge blessing here in our Capital Port Vila and the other islands. Ywam Vanuatu has impact alot of young youths and also the churches around our local communitys. I was glad that through Ywam Vanuatu God has open a door for me to go and work with the Ywam Island Breeze. Now am staffing a dts here in Sydney and we're leaving for outreach to Amstardam and France. Now looking back to the begining of my journey it was amazing and I know God is writing me a book and its not yet complete its still continue. well to finish off, I just want to congratulate Ywam Vanuatu on behalf of all young ex-nivans dts students who are now serving God in other nations. May God blessed your Leadership and your Future Vision to upgrade our nation.

I would say the Discipleship Training School is the best way to escape out of the prison which life in this world can be for some. I am an example of that. I was such a prisoner within my own life when I joined DTS when I was 18, but in DTS I found a key to open the gate of my own prison and escape. The staff at YWAM were great,
encouraging and lifting us up all the time. I felt so much love, the kind of love that had never been given to me before. I was able to release all my burdens to Jesus Christ and truly made Him Lord and Savior in my life. The DTS helped me to become free from all the negative things I was trapped in and the school helped me to step into that freedom that can only come from God.
During DTS, the Lord gave me a ‘handlebar’ to hold on to, knowing that I am special to God and that He loves me and cares for me: Psalms 31:16 “let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love”
For people out there who find themselves trapped in the same place as I was, DTS is a wonderful place to start getting free.
